Appearance; Amberstar is a medium sized she-cat of Shadowclan. Her fur is short and soft, and it's a solid ginger color. Her eyes are amber with a small hint of green.
Personality; Amberstar isn't like the sterotypical Shadowclan character. She soft hearted and kind, and isn't quick to judge others. Many in the past have thought she was too soft, but she's proved over and over to be a loyal and strong leader.

Amberkit; Life in the nursery: Amberkit was born to a she-cat named Sageflower, a snow white she-cat with amber eyes. Her father wished to be unnamed, although many cats thought him to be Shadowclan's former medicine cat, Bramblenose. She was born along with her two other brothers, Firekit and Cloudkit. Cloudkit was born too weak, and did not live past his first moon. That only left Amberkit and Firekit alone.
The two kits were the only kits in the nursery for a while. It wasn't until they were four moons old before another queen, Poppyheart, gave birth to her two sons - Lizardkit and Bluekit, and they were too young to play with. So, Amberkit found herself always hanging in the medicine cat's den. At first, Bramblenose was reluctant to have her hanging around his den. But he soon saw potential in the young cat, and soon influenced them both for her to train as a medicine cat.
Amberpaw; Healing paws; When Amberpaw was finally an apprentice, she agreed without hesitation to train the life as a medicine cat. The first moon of her training was going very well. But as the next moons passed, the other apprentices started making fun of her for being a medicine cat and for not choosing the life as a warrior. She'd watch them with regret as they'd come back from training to show off their hunting crouches and their battle moves.
"I don't want to be stuck in this stupid old den anymore! I want to train as a warrior!" she finally blurted out to Bramblenose one day after she had been a medicine cat apprentice for 4 moons. Bramblenose tried to convince her that it wasn't all too bad, but he finally gave in and talked to Owlstar. Reluctantly, Owlstar decided to change her rank to a normal apprentice.
Amberpaw; Training as a warrior: Amberpaw was assigned to a patient young tom, Badgersnout. Amber wanted to do everything right away to catch up with the other apprentices, but she was indeed behind. She even had to wait even longer than the other apprentices to become a warrior. As she was training, though, she fell in love with another warrior by the name of Grasspelt, a light tabby tom laced with black stripes and green eyes. She desperately wanted to be a warrior, so that she could take him on as a mate. Even as an apprentice, though, her and Grasspelt talked a lot and became exremely close.
Amberpool; Warrior at last; Nothing was more exciting than the day Amberpool finally became a warrior, along with two other apprentices - Bluetail and Lizardfoot. Her hunting patrols increased with her secret love, Grasspelt. Many gossiped about them, but she never admitted her feelings to anyone but him.
As moons passed, a litter of kits were finally able to be apprenticed. Her apprentice was a shy young she-cat named Hollypaw. And her secret love was assigned her sister, Squirrelpaw. The two always trained their apprentices together, and were nearly inseperable.
Amberpool; I say this before Starclan so they may hear and approve of my choice: Long after her apprentice became a warrior, the clan's deputy Stoneclaw died in a fight with a badger. The clan was without a deputy. Many cats believed that Amberpool's brother, Firepelt, was next in line to become deputy. But, they believed wrong. Nothing shocked the clan more than when Owlstar announced Amberpool to be the new deputy.
Amberpool; Pitter patter paws on my heart: Only a couple of sunrises passed before she soon felt a wiggle inside of her belly. It wouldn't go away, so she asked Bramblenose about it. She was in shock when he told her she was expecting kits. She was horrified. Deputies couldn't have kits, and to do so she'd have to resign her duties. She needed to find a replacement soon.
She told no cat of her pregnancy. Not even her mate, who was now her official mate, was aware of the little bodies inside of her. The only cat she told was her former apprentice, Hollyflight, who was expecting her brother, Firepelt's, kits. Only those two and Bramblenose knew of her kits.
She begged the couple to raise her kits. Hollyflight was reluctant to raise more kits, but she agreed to it. When the time came, Hollyflight and Amberpool were both having kits on the same day. Bramblenose closed off the nursery to everyone else so that nobody would know of what was happening.
Hollyflight gave birth first to two healthy daughters. Their names were Nightkit and Sunkit. Amberpool gave birth to two kits as well, a tom and a she-kit. The tom was still born, though, and only was left with her daughter. She did not want to name the kit, so she left the naming to Hollyflight. She named the she-kit Fernkit. Amberpool felt pain in her heart as she forced herself to leave the nursery. To the clan, she showed happiness and pride for the birth of the "three" kits to her brother and his mate. On the inside, she felt like her heart was being torn in two.
Amberstar; leading the clan: Long after she watched her daughter and her nieces grow into fine young cats (which she even mentored Nightpaw, who was named Nightsong) - Owlstar came down to his last life. Amberpool had to now lead the clan as Amberstar. Soon after she became leader she told Fernheart that she was her real mother, along with the entire clan. The clan was shocked at her secret, but surprisingly supported her still as their leader.
