Prancing through the snow, Applepaw purred, her blue eyes bright. Despite the cold she loved finding random things to do. She couldn't see or scent prey anywhere near so it wouldn't hurt to be silly. Shaking her fluffy dark orange fur, she lifted her head and looked around. So far, she was all alone. She wasn't far from camp though, as she would probably get in trouble for going anywhere further without permission.
Applepaw was just a moon into apprenticeship. She was waiting for Fallenstar to assign her a mentor, so for now she tried to join in with any warrior she could. [/center][/size] |

Yellowpaw followed behind Applepaw. She didn't know she was following her, so Yellowpaw decided she'd sneak up on her. She smiled a toothy grin and looked at her clanmate micheviously. She wiggled her tail a little and pounced on her clanmate, yelling "Gotchya!" and started purring. She hauled herself off of Applepaw, amusement covered her face.
"What are you doing out here, Applepaw?"

With a squeak of alarm, Applepaw shot backward. Her blue eyes were wide with confusion until she got sight of her denmate Yellowpaw. "You got me!" she purred, butting the other apprentice in a friendly way. "I'm just bored." she shrugged, and rasped a tongue over her fur to calm the rustling down. "Have you been following the whole time?"
Her tail twitched back and forth while ideas popped into her head. With two cats, there was more options to find games and things to do [/size] |

Satisfaction glazed over her yellow eyes. "I sure did!" Yellowpaw purred, feeling accomplished that she managed to follow Applepaw without being heard or seen. "Yeah..." she sighed. "It's boring around camp. And we have our apprentice names, but no mentors. The clan's really rough on warriors right now.." she said solemnly.
"Who do you want to be your mentor?"

"I don't know," Applepaw shrugged, pausing to think for a moment. "Anyone fun!" She looked around, wishing it was greenleaf. It was hard to play in leafbare. There wasn't anything that wasn't cold or covered in snow. "I'm just ready to learn how to hunt better and fight! That should be fun." the fluffy young she-cat let out a purr, her eyes sparkling. She was only 7 moons old, and since she wasn't assigned a mentor yet she hadn't learned much. [/size] |
