Lightkit heard a loud noise and tumbled off of her brother. She squeaked in protest, her nose lifted to the smell of new cats. The she-kit mewled softly and inched her way towards her mother's warmth, which radiated from her body. Lightkit reached out with small paws and began climbing her way up her mother's side, but after she got about half way up she slid back down and landed with a squeak next to her brother.

Lastsong glanced at the two kits hiding towards the back of the den, his whiskers twitching. But he figured the quickest way to get them to leave Honeyfrost alone was to satiate their curiosity.
"Lightkit, Redkit, Lilykit, and Adderkit," he mewed, motioning to each kit with his tail tip as he named them. He gave a small chuckle of amusement when little Lightkit tried unsuccessfully to climb up her mother's side.

Brindlekit's eyes lit up. "Wow," she purred. "They're really small, and a bit ugly..." she ended softly. Her ears flattened again as she looked over each kitten. She glanced at her brother and then at Lastsong. "When will they be able to play?" she questioned.

OOC: Hey, try not to leave everyone else posting in the dust, okay? I'll post and then let Honey/Sage post next.
Lastsong's whiskers twitched.
"After their eyes open, at least," he meowed. "But you have to be careful playing with them. They're not very strong yet." Lastsong looked down at the little kits and watched them as they nestled against their mother. Then he turned his attention back to Reedkit and Brindlekit. He didn't want them to get into any mischief, so he would keep an eye on them.

Reedkit pawed at Brindlekit's shoulder. "Their not ugly! They are just... well not attractive." He blinked, and shrugged, and looked over at Lastsong, then again his expression was a bit pale. "Maybe not until they are apprenticed like us! But then again, when they are apprentices, we might be warriors!" He proudly puffed out his chest, and licked his paw, making mewling sounds.

Brindlekit laughed and nodded at Reedkit. "Yeah! We could be their mentors," she purred. Her purred continued, eyes closed. "That would be fun." She glanced over at the exit and sighed. "Hey, Reedkit, would you like to go play. It's kind of boring now."

Reedkit grinned, and hopped out side, and steadily padded over towards the clearing, looking over his shoulder. "You read my mind, Brindlekit." He shouldered his way to the center, and crouched, staring at Brindlekit. "Bet you can't catch me!" He meowed, zig ziagging around.

Brindlekit narrowed her yellow-green eyes. "Oh yeah?" she shouted after him, exiting the medicine cat den in a blurry white flash. Her whiskers blew back as she tumbled towards Reedkit.

Reedkit narrowed his eyes, and scampered towards the fresh-kill pile. "Can't touch it!" He giggled, and glared at his sister.

By the way Lastsong looked at her and the look of Honeyfrost's exhaustion, she knew that this couldn't be a long visit. Clearing her throat, she said "Well, I just wanted to say congradulations." she eyed over to the two nosey kits who scampered out of the den and out into the clearning. She sighed. Maybe one day she'd have kits. One day.
"I'll leave you to rest for a bit. Later on I'll bring you some freshkill if you're hungry, ok? she said, giving her friend a lick on the ear. Sageflower gave the kits one more look and then left the den.

Lastsong watched Sageflower go without much expression on his face. He was glad that she was sensitive to her friend's exhaustion. Turning to Honeyfrost, Lastsong smiled at her reassuringly.
"You should get some rest now, if you can."

Honeyfrost nodded gratefully at Sageflower, and she was grateful to have a little it of peace. She didn't mind visitors, but she really did want to rest. It had been a long day, or so it seemed like it. She sighed and rested her head. She wanted to sleep, but she just kept staring at the tiny bundles of fur. She especially couldn't keep her eyes off of Adderkit. She loved them all the same, but he was just a strinking memory of her brother that she missed so much.
Eventually, her thoughts gave way and she fell into the deepest sleep she's ever had before.

Lastsong watched Honeyfrost until she fell asleep. Then he began clearing up his herbs as quietly as he could, putting them away after making sure he recorded the amounts he had left. He would really have to stock up soon if the Clan was to have enough herbs for Leafbare. Once he had finished Lastsong picked up the vole that Honeyfrost had brought him and padded outside the den to eat it. He was still within earshot if something was wrong, and he kept his ears attuned to the soft mewling of the kits as he ate.
