Moonstar turned to face her deputy. "Lets split up now. We'll meet back here, right outside of the camp when we're done." She explained. She gave him a slight nod and walked in the opposite direction from twoleg bridge where phantomshade said he would look. When she first stepped onto the ice she almost fell face first but regained her balance. Phew, how embarressing it woud have been to fallen right in front of her deputy! I guess we all make mistakes. She scouted the ice around the south end of the island where riverclan made their home. She found a few weak spots but not any that would be easily broken so she continued to look for the perfect place to break the ice.

Phantomshade dipped his head to his leader and made his way down towards the Twoleg bridge. He slipped onto the ice and waited a moment to gain his balance. The tom tested the ice by resting on it and pressing his ear to it, judging by the sound the depth and strength of the ice. He closed his eyes and listened as he squirmed along on the frozen surface of the river. He felt a few places that were reasonably weak, mostly those a little ways away from the bridge and close to the banks. He patted on it with his paw, testing it, listening. There was one place he thought might work, but it would take something heavy like a tree branch, as Moonstar had suggested. The tom glanced up the hill and wondered what could be used. Perhaps one of the old trees near the edge of Sunningrocks could be felled so that it would fall over onto the river? But Sunningrocks was a part of ThunderClan territory. The tom hissed softly. That territory should have been RiverClan, really. Shaking his head, Phantomshade continued up the river, trying to find more places that would use less effort to break.

Snaketooth followed closely behind his leader and deputy. Hopefully this idea would work. If it didn't, they'd have to go back pouncing all over land prey, which wasn't exactly his favorite. He heard his leader tell Phantomshade that they should break up, and he followed behind his deputy once they split up.
It took him by surprise when Phantomshade slipped, so the silver tom was careful with his steps so that he wouldn't do so, too. Once they reached the ice, he watched as the deputy press an ear to the ice.
"What do you think?" he murmured, half way really paying attention. He was still thinking about Silverfrost and the next time they'd meet.

Phantomshade glanced at Snaketooth, his expression cool. He could see the tom wasn't really interested, and he wondered what could be distracting the warrior. It wasn't like him to zone out when they had a task to fulfill.
"I think your mind and your body are in separate vicinities currently," he meowed with a twitch of his whiskers. Then he turned back to testing the ice, shaking his head with an amused smile on his face.

moonstar walked along the river searching the ice. She recalled when she was just a kit her mother would take her out and show her the river when it was frozen. It was so beautiful and still is. Her mother taught her a little song to remember were it was safe to walk on the ice."Thick and blue, tried and true; Thin and crispy, way too risky." she said aloud to herself in a sing-song kind of way. She also remember her mother saying Ice was thinest around the shore and when running water was under it. So she searched near the banks.

" I have found only one weak spot on the ice." Moonstar sighed. She decided it was time to go back to the meeting spot. She followed the river back to camp and sat down outside the camp, waiting for the others to return with some news. She sat there watching as the wind blew the leaves on the trees in a swaying motion and fell asleep still waiting on her deputy.

Moonstar awoke from her nap and yet Niether of her clan mates had arrived. "Where are they?" she growled softly to herself so that no one could hear. "Do I have to go and find them?" she said aloud to herself.

The reeds shook before a long haired, russet red she-cat padded out. Timberwing looked over to where she spotted Moonstar, her ears twitched slightly, she had the scent of the reeds and slightly fish on her pelt, almost strong enough to hide the fading Shadowclan scent from her pelt. Her dull forest green eyes slightly brightened as she trotted over to her new leader. "Moonstar, I heard from a few cats that you were trying to find a way to get rid of the ice. Do you need any help?" Her scruffy voice was gentle and held a respectful tone. She may have been from Shadowclan but she was a well respected cat and she gave respect where respect was due. Her bushy tail flickered behind her, the cold wind tugging at her long fur.

"Thank starclan someone came to help! The deputy and I were supposed to meet back here but he hasn't shown." Moonstar said a little aggrivated ther deputy hadn't appeared.

OOC: Moonstar, you really should not be posting before Snaketooth has a turn. It is against the rules, for one thing. I can't post until Snaketooth does.

Ooc: I suggest that the admins make a rule. If the person who posted has not been active for 4 days (or however many days you choose) that the other roleplayers should be allowed to post. We shoulldn't have to wait on someone because they are inactive. Also forgive me I do not wish to break the rules.
