OOC Rules

• Please no cursing in the public site. If you must curse at all, leave it over PMs. Use words over PM at your own risk, for some members may not appreciate it as much.
  
• Please no sexual content on the site rather it be images, videos, or even in writing. We want to keep this a PG13 rated site that is enjoyable for people of all ages. Keep in mind that we may have children on this site.
  
• Cyber bullying is a big no no.
  
• Treat everyone with respect. Remember the Golden rule "Do unto others what you would like done to yourself"
  
• The staff is here to help ensure a healthy and fun role playing environment. If a staff member asks something of you, please, do listen and don't argue. We just want the best for you!
  
• No spamming. It clutters the site up, and us staff members would rather not spend our time cleaning it up.
  
• If you're going away or think you won't be able to be active, please let us know. If you are inactive for 1 week without telling us , you will be stripped of your rank. If you are inactive for 2 weeks, your account will be deleted.

Role Playing

• Please have your display name and gender the same as your character's. This helps avoid confusion.
  
• Each new character needs his/her own account. An exception to this rule is a queen with kits, which may be on the same account until the kits are apprentices or adopted by another member.
  
• You must fill out a character form and be accepted before you start role playing.
  
• Post in third person, please.
  
  First person(No): I pounced and caught the mouse skillfully.
  
  Second person(No): You pounced and caught the mouse skillfully
  
  Third Person (Yes!): Blackstar pounced and caught the mouse skillfully.
  
  
• Please oh please oh please do your very best to use correct grammar and spelling. Reread your post for grammatical errors, and please do overuse the spell check button. It makes it easier for the rest of us.
  
• Auto hitting is a no no no. Auto hitting means "attacking" or "killing" another character without their say so. You may attempt to do so, but it is up to the other member if it happens or not.
  
  Wrong: Amberstar bit Blackstar on the neck and killed him.
  
  Right!: Amberstar attempted to bite Blackstar on the neck to kill him.
  
  But also, you cannot dodge every attack. Just mix it up a little bit.
  
  
• Please, nothing abnormal about your cat. No purple cats with rainbow eyes and wings that shoot fire from their whiskers. Come on, people, Be realistic here! Some powers may only be used in special occasions IF it calls for the plot. (Ex. Jayfeather being able to see in other cat's dreams)
  
  
• Your cat is not the most beautiful and most perfect cat in the forest, nor is he the strongest and invincible cat. Please, no "Mary Su's"
  
• No double posting, it is considered spam. If you must add something, please, modify your post before.
  
• Give other people a chance to post. Don't leave someone behind.

• Please, no one liners. I understand writers block, but please, try to squeeze in a minimum of 3 sentences.
  
  
• Don't kill off your cat without clearing it with a staff member first.
  
• No insane kitty pet backgrounds. It isn't realistic, so let's keep that story line down.
  
• When finding a mate, please role play with them first. Don't just pick out a cat and say "You're automatically my mate". Give role playing a chance.
  
• Kits can't have crushes or mates, but apprentices can have crushes. But only warriors may have mates.
  
• When having kits, no more than 5 kits max.
  
• Try to have a reasonable sounding name. Don't name your cat Stovewhisker. Cat's don't know what a stove is, I'm sure.
  
• You may not use a character from the book. If you must use the same name but make it a different looking cat with a different personality, please ask a staff member about it first to clear it up. I understand sometimes names can be hard to come up with.
  
• Try not to use the same prefix as another character. If there's already a "Snowfur" TRY not to have "Snowheart" it makes things less confusing. If you MUST use that same prefix, please ask a staff member before hand.
  
  
• Cats only, please. Don't make up wolves or dogs or birds or horses. Keep it to cats.
  
  
• Before you start role playing, be sure to have a picture of a cat in either your signature or avatar.
  
  
• You may not have more than one high position, unless it's a medicine cat. Here are the options you have. (Medicine cat apprentice counts as a medicine cat)
  
  - Leader + Medicine cat
  
  - Deputy + Medicine cat
  
  - Medicine cat + Medicine cat
  
  - Leader
  
  - Deputy
  
  - Medicine cat
  
  That's it. No leader + leader or leader + deputy.
  
  
• If we have a plot, please, try to actively take place in that plot.
  
  
• You may not join as a kit alone unless there is a queen willing to be a foster mother or a queen willing to play as an actual mother. No lone kits!
