With a wide smile, Thrushpelt gently nosed Hollysplash affectionately. He twined his tail with hers, enjoying the closeness to her and the warmth of her fur against his side. A purr rumbled in his chest, and he could barely speak past the joy he was feeling.
"I want that, too," he meowed, his voice thick with emotion.

Thrushpelt smiled at Hollysplash and nodded.
"Yeah," he said, not really knowing what else to say. He felt like he was in a dream. It was hard to believe that it was all real. Thrushpelt sighed happily as he picked his prey up and turned to see if Hollysplash was ready to go.

Hellysplash smiled and picked up her vole. She looked at him and started tourd camp with a smile on her face.she fell in step beside him and there pelts brushed as thay walked

Thrushpelt felt satisfaction warm him to the tips of his claws when he walked into camp beside his new mate. Would cats take notice, he wondered? How long would it take them to figure out that Hollysplash was his, and he was hers? The tom glanced at the she-cat beside him and smiled around his prey. For once in his life he felt totally content just being with another cat. He didn't feel the need to run off and hunt or something. He was content to stay by her side, and had no desire to go anywhere else.

"Let's share something, then," he said with a nod. Looking at the fresh-kill pile, he chose the vole that she had caught and then made his way over to a sunny place by the warrior's den.
